AC Thruster Brake

Sytco AC Thruster Brake is Fail Safe in nature. These are designed to withstand the rough conditions of industrial applications. Since these Brakes are in normally closed condition. When electro-hydraulic thruster is energized, it release the Brake shoes from the drum, so the drum is free to rotate without any friction. When we de-energized the Thruster the Brake is activated , resulting in levers applying Brake shoes to the drum generating required braking torque.

The unique compact & rugged design makes easy replacement and maintenance of the shoes without dismantling the Brake.

Mountings

Before installing the brake:

  1. Mounting area should be flat and holes is to be as per dimensions.
  2. All the brakes are ideal for only vertical mounting.
  3. Fill up thruster by required oil as per quantity mentioned.
  4. Remove dust paint from thruster and liner face
  5. Make alignment and bolts fixing properly
