SYTCO A.C. Brake is fail safe in nature. Brake releases on power against the spring force, thus allow the prime mover to move. Braking takes place by means of the spring force once power is withdrawn. SYTCO A.C. Shoe type brake, ensures positive transmission of braking force. Since the braking force is uniformly Transmitted over both the shoes, providing maximum stopping power with minimum wear out of shoe lining. Braking torque can be maintained easily. After setting up the torque, adjustment nut is to be locked to prevent any disturbances due to vibration.

Model Selection
For size selection, to calculate breaking torque use following formula.
M = 7160 HP/N x F
Where
M = Torque in NM
HP = Motor Horse Power
N = Motor Speed
F = Safety Factor
