“SYTCO” SADB series AC disc brakes are absolutely fail safe in nature, and finds wide range of application, where emergency stop is required. Compact, rugged and uniquely designed bake, works on electro mechanical principal. Main parts consists of Solenoid coil, Riveted Solenoid Plates, Strong springs with stud and Splined Rotor-Hub. When power fails or brake remains in engaged condition for longer period, these brakes are the best buy.

Working

When power is applied to the coil, strong electromagnetic flux develops between solenoid mating parts and gets attracted against the spring force, intern allows the rotor (with the friction liner) to move freely. Simultaneously, once the power is withdrawn, strong springs come into action and returns the armature plates to its original position, which clamps the rotor(friction plate) delivering the braking torque.

For size selection, to calculate breaking torque using following formula.
M – N 7160x HP x F
(Where M = Torque in NM HP = Motor Horse Power N=Motor Speed F=Safety Factor)
