SYTCO Torque Limiter coupling is a mechanical device, used in between two inline shafts which is to be couple with each other & one gets free/idle when OVERLOAD happens! It works as a coupling to transmit Motion – Drive to Driven & a Safety device against BREAKDOWN. There are lot of factors which cause of breakdown & damage such as overload, foreign material in mixing, sudden power feuiler or undersize design but there is single solution for its protection – SYTCO TORQUE LIMITER COUPLINGS!
The Sytco Torque Limiter along with sprocket is mounted on drive shaft & Sprocket Flange is fitted on driven shaft by means of key. This assembly is coupled by a chain as shown in figure. When overload happens, the sprocket of Torque Limiter starts slipping till overload is there. Once overload removes, it re-engages and transmit the Motion as it is.
Functioning
The drive element either chain sprocket or Timer Pulley placed on the bush and clamped in between two friction linings with the aid of cup spring washer by adjusting nut at desire Torque. If the load exceeds desire limit then the drive elements slips.
